Bill Whittle: on Obama’s brilliant foreign policy…

Once again Bill Whittle breaks down an issue to its bare essentials and clearly states his opinions and leaves no doubt as to what he believes…

In this video, “Turncoat Nation,” Whittle shows how Obama has systematically damaged our relationships with our strongest allies around the world (think Israel and the UK).  He also shows how these actions by our President reflect not just on his administration, but on our nation as whole.  Leaving us with allies who don’t trust us and relationships that will take many years to repair…

Enough preamble, here is the video…

Netanyahu’s great speech…

I know I’m a couple days late on this, but I guess ‘better late than never,’ right?

No matter, this had to go up because it is just an awesome speech that the Israeli Prime Minister laid down…

Its especially great how he handles the Code Pink nut-case that interrupts him at around 5:35 in the video.  To see another example of what those knuckleheads are up to look at this piece from Moonbat Tracker…

You really should watch the speech, but if you don’t have time here are some highlights from Wake up America…

Netanyahu’s best point out of quite a few wonderful ones was when he said Courageous Arab protesters, are now struggling to secure these very same rights for their peoples, for their societies. We’re proud that over one million Arab citizens of Israel have been enjoying these rights for decades. Of the 300 million Arabs in the Middle East and North Africa, only Israel’s Arab citizens enjoy real democratic rights. I want you to stop for a second and think about that. Of those 300 million Arabs, less than one-half of one-percent are truly free, and they’re all citizens of Israel!

This startling fact reveals a basic truth: Israel is not what is wrong about the Middle East. Israel is what is right about the Middle East.

Another great point that needed to be addressed was after the 36 minutes mark when Netanyahu said But you know very well, that in the Middle East, the only peace that will hold is a peace you can defend.

So peace must be anchored in security. In recent years, Israel withdrew from South Lebanon and Gaza. We thought we’d get peace. That’s not what we got. We got 12,000 thousand rockets fired from those areas on our cities, on our children, by Hezbollah and Hamas.

Judging by all the standing ovations Netanyahu received, it seems that Congress was very eager to show their support for Israel following Obama’s speech from a couple days earlier…

Even Gene Simmons from KISS knows Obama’s speech was ignorant

I also appreciated Netanyahu’s point that the only free Arabs in the Mid-East live in Isreal (around 10:45 in the video), a point that is born out by the popular call in Saudi Arabia for Saudi men to beat women with cords to keep them from driving…

A campaign on Facebook is calling for Saudi men to beat women who plan to drive cars in a protest next month, AFP reports.

“The Iqal Campaign: June 17 for preventing women from driving” advocates a cord be used to beat women who plan to drive. Women are not allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia.

Some 6,000 people have “liked” the campaign on Facebook.

What terror threat?

Yesterday we were all made aware of the fact that planes were being held and packages searched in an effort to stop a terrorist plot. According to the Washington Post two packages were found that were,

“mailed from Yemen and addressed to synagogues in Chicago contained explosive material and represented a ‘credible terrorist threat,’ President Obama said Friday”

Thanks to quick action by U.S. counter-terrorism officials they were able to keep these packages from getting through.

“The two packages were intercepted at separate locations, one on a UPS plane at East Midlands Airport near Nottingham, England, and the other at a FedEx facility in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. Officials provided no details on the kind of explosives found, but they said they were looking at the possibility that the substance used was PETN, the same explosive used in the Christmas Day plot (read ‘pantie-bomber’).”

This seems to be a serious threat, despite what Democrat Betty McCollum of MN-04 may think about al-Queda “not posing a threat.”

Video courtesy of Republican challenger Teresa Collett who is trying to take the MN-04 seat from the five term incumbent, McCollum.

But never fear, our ‘fearless leader’ will not be deterred from ferocious campaigning in an effort to save some seats for his party. According to Yahoo News,

“The White House says President Barack Obama’s weekend travel plans to campaign ahead of the midterm elections will not be affected by a terror probe on three continents.”

Good to know that keeping a stranglehold on our liberty is more important to him than personal safety or national security.  May it all be for naught,  in three days we can make him wish he would of just gone to the golf course instead…

Three more days, make it happen…

Hypocrisy at its finest…

Look at what I found on America’s Watchtower, “The Federal Government includes Arizona’s immigration law in its United Nations report on human rights violations” Say what?  Once again, it seems, the current administration takes great joy in throwing the nation it is sworn to protect and defend under the bus to kiss up to the international community…

And not only that, this is an absurd lie.   If the Arizona law is a “violation of human rights” then the U.S. government as a whole is in violation of human rights.   I know I’ve beaten this point like a dead horse in the past, but here we go again…  The Arizona law is simply restating federal law.  Why?  Because, the federal government was too lazy to enforce its own laws.  Therefore, Arizona simply restated the federal law in its own books so that it could go ahead and secure its own borders against the ongoing invasion of drug traffickers and other unsavory types.

However, all of that is a mute point, because, under no circumstances is securing your nation/state against the unlawful crossing of your border a “human rights violation.  In many countries throughout the world you can’t move about within your own nation without all manner of documentation, much less cross a border from nation to nation.  This is absolute B.S. and Gov. Brewer has every right to be upset, and she clearly is:

In a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Brewer says it is ‘downright offensive’ that a state law would be included in the report, which was drafted as part of a UN review of human rights in all member nations every four years.

‘The idea of our own American government submitting the duly enacted laws of a state of the United States to ‘review’ by the United Nations is internationalism run amok and unconstitutional,’

Amen…

And since my skills of articulation are somewhat limited here is the author over at America’s Watchtower, Steve Dennis, dropping some truth:

“If the United Nations wants to do something about human rights violations that are occurring to Mexican nationals they should start by looking at the president of that country whose abysmal policies have led Mexico’s own people to seek shelter and work in another country by any means possible–even illegally.

This is unacceptable and reprehensible. Barack Obama needs to realize that he is the president of the United States, not of the United Nations or of the world. His priorities lie first and foremost with us, but he just doesn’t seem to understand–or accept as fact–this simple concept.”

Once again, Amen…

And on a totally different note (mainly because I’m too lazy to write a separate post but still want to make mention) the Obamacare bill sucks!  As Larry, at Political Realities, brings out so well (go there to read about it).  Not only did it screw our healthcare system it has tax measures to crush small business… Shocking!  No, actually, business as usual for this administration; but something we need to talk about so we don’t forget why we have to go to the ballot box and exercise our power to save this country.

Obama a blessing?

Today at Sanity Sentinel Gary Hubbell wrote an interesting post. He opened by saying: “Barack Obama is the best thing that has happened to America in the last 100 years. Truly, he is the savior of America’s future. He is the best thing ever.” What? …any self respecting conservative would initially be taken aback by such an opening, but as you read on his point becomes more clear.

He goes on to list some of the many outrages of the Obama administration…

“In the time of Barack Obama, Black Panther members stand outside polling places in black commando uniforms, slapping truncheons into their palms. ACORN — a taxpayer-supported organization — is given a role in taking the census, even after its members were caught on tape offering advice to set up child prostitution rings. A former Communist is given a paid government position in the White House as an advisor to the president. Auto companies are taken over by the government, and the auto workers’ union — whose contracts are completely insupportable in any economic sense — is rewarded with a stake in the company. Government bails out Wall Street investment bankers and insurance companies, who pay their executives outrageous bonuses as thanks for the public support. Terrorists are read their Miranda rights and given free lawyers. And, despite overwhelming public disapproval, Barack Obama has pushed forward with a health care plan that would re-structure one-sixth of the American economy.”

…and Liberalism in general…

“Think of the crap we’ve slowly learned to tolerate over the past 50 years as liberalism sought to re-structure the America that was the symbol of freedom and liberty to all the people of the world. Immigration laws were ignored on the basis of compassion. Welfare policies encouraged irresponsibility, the fracturing of families, and a cycle of generations of dependency. Debt was regarded as a tonic to lubricate the economy. Our children left school having been taught that they are exceptional and special, while great numbers of them cannot perform basic functions of mathematics and literacy. Legislators decided that people could not be trusted to defend their own homes, and stripped citizens of their rights to own firearms. Productive members of society have been penalized with a heavy burden of taxes in order to support legions of do-nothings who loll around, reveling in their addictions, obesity, indolence, ignorance and “disabilities.” Criminals have been arrested and re-arrested, coddled and set free to pillage the citizenry yet again. Lawyers routinely extort fortunes from doctors, contractors and business people with dubious torts.”

…and, in his opinion, this ridiculousness has led to the reason that Obama is the “savior” of this nation…  What reason might that be?  Obama has succeeded frustrating the average American to the point that he wants to change the direction of his country.  Or, in Mr. Hubbell’s words…

“Average Americans who have quietly gone about their lives, earning a paycheck, contributing to their favorite charities, going to high school football games on Friday night, spending their weekends at the beach or on hunting trips — they’ve gotten off the fence. They’ve woken up. There is a level of political activism in this country that we haven’t seen since the American Revolution, and Barack Obama has been the catalyst that has sparked a restructuring of the American political and social consciousness.”

Well put…  So I guess it is true we, as conservatives, owe Obama a great big thank you for slapping us upside the head and essentially saying, “If you people don’t wake up and do something to save your country we’re going to turn it a socialist wasteland.”

Remember: it is now only 74 days until the November mid-term elections.  Support your local candidates so that we can take back our nation.

Haha, Incoherent?

More like Incompetent!  I think Rush might have said that too, I’m just a little slow on the trigger…

At least Al Jazeera will cover the violence on the Mexican border…

Heres a post from Conservatives Defending Liberty that includes video of a report by Al Jazeera on the constant fear that ranchers along the Mexican border must live with.  It includes a woman talking about the fact that she doesn’t leave her home without a revolver in her purse, and the fact that drug running illegals packing AK-47s cross ranches along the border frequently.  This post also addresses the fact that if these kinds of crimes were taking place in a big city there would be outrage from the Drive-by Media and calls for more police, but here there is silence and the federal government refuses to do squat about it.  Although there are promises of National Guard troops none have materialized…

“…you hear about gangs and how people are afraid to come outside at night. OK, that is bad I will grant you. Try this out, imagine those gangs operating in a military fashion with automatic weapons and numbering in the tens and twenty at a time. Further imagine that the police refuses to help, they flat out claim there is no problem.”

A valid comparison in my opinion.

There is a hint that some efforts are finally being made by the administration with the passing of a “border security” bill, but most people say it is a starting point at best and a ploy to improve public opinion at worst.  Read about at the Daily Caller here…

Top Priorities?

Obama has pegged some top priorities for his administration since he has been in office…

However he apparently doesn’t understand the concept of “top priority.”  The use of this term conjures up images of something that is foremost one’s mind.  An everyday example would be putting food on the table or paying the bills…   …In short, something that has to be taken care of…  By its very nature this term is selective and singular, there cannot be a large number of “top priorities.”  Because, if there is they are no longer “top priorities” but merely “middle-of-the-pack priorities.”  Unfortunately this is not nearly as catchy or confidence inspiring I suppose…

Here, courtesy of CBS news’s Mark Knoller, is a selection of the many “top priorities” Obama has claimed since taking office…

FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS: “…that’s something that’s going to be a top priority.” (4/27/10)

ENERGY SECURITY: “And that’s why my energy security plan has been one of the top priorities of my Administration since the day I took office.” (4/28/10)

EDUCATION REFORM: “To train our workers for the jobs of tomorrow, we’ve made education reform a top priority in this Administration.” (2/24/10)

STUDENT LOAN REFORM: “This is something that I’ve made a top priority.” (2/1/10)

EXPORTS BY SMALL BUSINESSES: “This is going to be a top priority.” (12/3/09)

HEALTH ASSISTANCE TO 9/11 FIRST RESPONDERS: “I’m not just talking the talk, we’ve been budgeting this as a top priority for this Administration.” (2/3/10)

END HOMELESSNESS AMONG VETERANS: “I’ve also directed (Veterans Affairs) Secretary Shinseki to focus on a top priority: reducing homeless among veterans.” (8/17/09)

HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS: “Our top priority is ensuring the public safety. That means appropriate sheltering in place or if necessary, getting as many people as possible out of harm’s way prior to landfall.” (5/29/09)

H1N1 FLU VACCINATIONS: “And throughout this process, my top priority has been the health and the safety of the American people.” (5/1/09)

SUPPORT FOR MILITARY FAMILIES: “These military families are heroes too. And they are a top priority of Michelle and me. And they will always have our support.” (5/30/09)

STRENTHENING TIES WITH CANADA AND MEXICO: “We’re going to make this a top priority…” (10/16/09)

CONSUMER PROTECTION: “During these challenging times, the needs of American consumers are a top priority of my Administration.” (2/11/09)

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION: “So this is going to be a top priority generally improving our environmental quality.” (11/5/09)

Yup, I think that covers a lot of the priorities there are for you to pick from sir.  Is it just me or whenever he gets questioned about an issue does he simply say, “It is a top priority of my administration,” and thereby placate those who are hold that issue dear? I can just imagine his response if one of his daughters should ask for a pony, “Finding a pony suitable for you, my lovely daughter, is a top priority of your mother and I,”  and, consequently, whether or not he actually makes any effort to get that pony he has given the impression that it is very important to him.  …Actually we all know his response would be more like, “As long as we can get the American taxpayers to pay for it we’ll get you an entire horse farm.”

I guess if those are all “top priorities” then perhaps things that are truly important to him are “Super-Duper, top-notch, second-to-none priorities…  Who knows?

Maybe this kind of blatant pandering, along with all the crap this administration has been pulling all along, is contributing to headlines like this one from Hot Air, “Total destruction: GOP out to biggest generic ballot leads in history in both Gallup and Rasmussen” Believe it or not, the American people are really getting tired of having socialism shoved down their throat and smoke blown up their butt, at every turn, by this worthless administration.

You may be thinking, “Wow, he is really bitter!” I’m really not.  I guess I’m just a little tired or something I guess.  Oh well, heres a good video I ran across that is at least a little hopeful, once again from Hot Air, “Video: ‘Those voices don’t speak for us’ “

A couple things that caught my eye…

It appears (according to Gallup) that for the first time since The One was immaculated, even the poor disapprove of the job he is doing…  Apparently they’re realizing that although he promised socialism he (thank goodness) can’t deliver… At least not yet.

…And maybe this contributed to the unrest of the masses…  I found this video from Bankrupting America on Hot Air.  In this video they quiz folks on what the stimulus money was spent on…  Helping hookers drink less?  Building turtle tunnels? What do you think?  Watch and learn…

White House: Your votes mean “NOTHING.”

Heres an article from The Hill that makes my blood boil…

When asked by reporters yesterday about Missouri’s passage of the Health Care Freedom Act, the Secretary of Propaganda, Robert Gibbs said it was, “of no legal significance.” Which is in reality true, though extremely arrogant, because state law never wins out against federal law.

But the real sticker for me is that when he was asked what it meant that the Missouri voters had voted against the federal mandate, the Gibbster responded: “Nothing”…  Nothing? Nothing!  NOTHING!?!  The votes of american people mean NOTHING?

This is absurd… Surely the White House did not just dismiss the voice of the electorate as NOTHING, did they?  Why yes, as a matter of fact, they did!

My first reaction was, well they’ll listen a lot better when the voters have THEIR neck on the chopping!  But wait, if the will of the voters means nothing to them now, whose to say that it will mean any thing to these power-hungry Marxists two years from now?  Now I know thats a bit alarmist; but seriously, so far they have shown us that the truth and the constitution are not barriers to them pushing ahead with their power-grabs.  So whose to say they will heed the constitution when it, and the people, say it is time for them to leave office?
