Finally, I have come back!!! and Todd Akin is way too conservative…

Well maybe me coming back isn’t that big a deal to anyone else in the world, but its kind of a big deal to me. I really enjoyed working on this blog and like most things we enjoy it got pushed to the back burner when I got busy last fall with classes and other things I had going on.

Anyway, today I heard a political ad on the radio that cracked me up; and I thought to myself, “Self, you need to get yourself in gear and start posting some stuff on that awesome blog of yours…”  Myself clearly has a very grandiose opinion of the quality of this blog, but it was a good idea nonetheless.  So this evening I have been trying to get stuff back in order.  Here is what I have found so far:

  • Spam commenters have had a field day in my absence…
  • I haven’t written anything in a really long time (September 24, 2011)…
  • Passwords to SM accounts are hard to remember if not written down, good thing I don’t listen to experts on that …
  • I have spammers out the wazoo…
  • It’s been a really, really, really, really long time since I have written anything…
  • Spammers really, really suck!

I think I covered everything there?!?!

Anyway, the point is I’m back and I’m going to try to do this right this time.  So we will see how that goes…

What, you may be asking yourself, could inspire someone to come back from a near eleven month hiatus?

That is a great question, and I’m glad you asked!

Well here it is: Claire McCaskill’s ham-handed attempt to influence the republican primary for her US Senate seat from here in Missouri.  There are three candidates: John Brunner, Todd Akin, and Sarah Steelman.  In the interest of full disclosure, I prefer John Brunner, but will be more than happy to support whoever wins the primary in the effort to get rid of Claire.  However, apparently Claire wants to run against Mr. Akin… I’m not sure why but I’m pretty sure its true… Why?  Because while she is running ho-hum attack ads against the other two candidates she is attacking Todd Akin for being “too conservative“…

Thats like saying a girl is “too hotthere is no such thing!

The ad informs us that Todd Akin wants to “privatize social security” … THE HORROR!!!

Not only that the ad identifies him as a “crusader against big government” … LORD DELIVER US!!!

Heres  the ad, take a look for yourself…

One thing that was in the radio ad I heard that did not appear in this TV ad was the quote that “Todd Akin believes in a free market economy, not government programs.” Well, that is just way too conservative… God forbid we actually have free market in this country again!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Liberals make me laugh…

Dead people voting in Missouri…

…sadly, this is nothing new in my state, but it should be called to attention none the less.

According to AtlasShrugs, 15 Missouri counties have more registered voters than residents over the age of 18.  Sooooo, either dead people are voting, or babies are voting.  Either way, it can’t be good for the integrity of the election…

Counties highlighted in red are the ones in question…

Missouri Counties with greater than 100% voter registration...

Wooohooo! Missouri rules! Down with Obamacare…

I love being a Missourian tonight!

Perhaps this begins to make up for electing a dead man to the Senate…

What am I rambling on about?  In Missouri tonight the people have spoken.  Telling Obama and the rest of the power-hungry Liberals in D.C. exactly where they can shove their Obamacare…

We in Missouri passed Proposition C in a landslide… Yes 71.1% /No 28.9% (Thanks to Missouri Election Night Reporting)

Prop. C read in part:

1. No law or rule shall compel, directly or indirectly, any person, employer, or health care provider to participate in any health care system.
2. A person or employer may pay directly for lawful health care services and shall not be required by law or rule to pay penalties or fines for paying directly for lawful health care services. A health care provider may accept direct payment for lawful health care services and shall not be required by law or rule to pay penalties or fines for accepting direct payment from a person or employer for lawful health care services.
3. Subject to reasonable and necessary rules that do not substantially limit a person’s options, the purchase or sale of health insurance in private health care systems shall not be prohibited by law or rule.”

This is just the first wave of rebuke directed at Obama and his cronies by the American people.  Several similar initiatives will be on state ballots come November…

Update: Better writers touching on this topic that I found this morning…

Missouri is fighting back…

This is pretty straight forward...
Following is the text of an email I received today concerning Proposition C which will appear on the ballot in Missouri on August 3, this Proposition is intended to Make Missourians exempt from the dreaded "Obamacare"... Missouri is leading the charge in this area and it is my hope that more states will follow suit..
Please spread the word about the bill that is coming up for a vote in
Missouri on Aug 3 regarding our healthcare (Obamacare). Missouri is the
first state to get it on a ballot for the Aug 3rd election. It is the
Healthcare Freedom Amendment and if we can get this passed Missouri
citizens will be exempt from having to purchase the National Health
Insurance and it would make it illegal for them to fine us if we don't
buy the health insurance. It is proposition C on the ballot. We have less
than 30 days to get the word out.

The Missouri Health Care Freedom Amendment, Proposition C will appear on

succeeding in court over the long run.
